Software Engineering Manager
Job Description:
- Set clear vision, direction, and measurable goals for engineering teams, aligned with business priorities.
- Promote engineering best practices, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Architects, Tech Leads, and Engineers.
- Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, performance reviews, time tracking, and productivity reporting.
- Support career development and succession planning within the team.
- Guide teams toward scalable, secure, and robust solutions.
- Maintain coding standards and promote DevOps practices, AI-assisted engineering tools, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute hands-on to design, development, prototyping, and code reviews when needed.
- Build strong relationships with product managers, engineering leads, and leadership.
- Communicate project progress, delivery forecasts, dependencies, and risks clearly.
- Own delivery outcomes — sprint planning, risk management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution.
- Participate in recruitment, interviews, and onboarding.
- Promote R&D and engineering working groups.
- Drive process improvements using Agile, DevOps, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams or in people management.
- Strong background in Agile development and modern engineering practices.
- Proven experience managing product engineering teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience delivering complex software products, owning quality, timelines, and business outcomes.
- Experience recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
- Hands-on technical expertise to support teams through complex challenges.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
